Along with the Trout they have been catching some nice Mangrove Snappers, Mackerel, scattered pompano and impressive sharks. The cold water has only enhanced the bite making things super charged as these fish look for food in the surprisingly cooler temps.

Inshore fishing report from Dream Catcher Charters this morning

We have all of our bay boats out and fishing this beautiful Key West morning. The flats and backcountry waters of Key West are lit up this morning. Due to the chill from last night and temps into the mid fifties the fish were a little slow this morning but they are kicking it now. Hearing back from the boats already this am reports of Huge Key West trout, big jacks following the rays on the flats and larger than life barracudas on the flats as well pouncing on light artificial plugs like their last meal. Pompano are here, in numbers along with redfish and bluefish.. Winter has finally arrived.. Thank Goodness…

As the winds turn around this week and come out of the South East I am expecting an incredible push of permit and possibly some tarpon up on the flats and into the channels. They were here last week when it warmed there is no reason they wont be here this coming week to show us some fun..
