Tarpon Fishing Report

Florida Keys Tarpon Fishing
Tarpon fishing in Key West with Dream Catcher Charters this week. Happy angler..

January 20 2017 – Incredible week of weather this week and the tarpon are here.. This week. All bets are off next week after powerful cold front moves through the Florida Keys tarpon fishing on Sunday Night bringing 40 mph NW winds and cooler temps.

The water this week has been gin clear and amazing. Great flats fishing we have had here in Key West at Dream Catcher Charters with Permit and tarpon being caught almost every day on the flats. Its heaven and we know that we are truly blessed. We are looking ahead at the weather and see that there is a cold front coming in this weekend. Winds up to 40mph will definitely hamper the bite.

When will the tarpon be back? There is a shallow shot at a possibility they may return as soon as Thursday Jan 26th from what I see in the weather. Then Friday the winds clock around out of the NORTH and all bets are off. Its gonna get chilly then we may not see them again till mid February..

GOOD NEWS.. Tarpon season in just around the corner here in the Florida Keys. We are booking tarpon fishing charters in mid March through the end of July. We are HAPPY to hook you up with one of our favorite Florida Keys tarpon fishing guides to get you out there on a 4, 6, or 8 hour trip. Tarpon Fishing RatesTarp start at 450.00 for 2 persons. Nicest boats, and seasoned captains. Our trips are amazing.
