February 25th 2017 – The winter has been very mild and the weather is perfect for an early tarpon fishing season.

We are seeing quite a few tarpon in Key West and having some good opportunities at them using live baits and artificial. The water is super clear and the winds are down today. We expect this trend to stay through the beginning of this week and start to get windy by Thursday or Friday. The higher winds at the end of the week should not hamper our tarpon fishing but maybe even enhance it by banging up the water a little making it a little dirtier. Bad news about the winds are that the offshore guys can get out so they set their sights on inshore fishing for tarpon.
