Florida Keys Fishing In The Wind

Florida Keys Fishing Is ON!

Windy? Hell Yea…! Its howling.. 30+ out of the East. Give the Ides of March some value. Oh mY goodness. I swear it is 1-2 ft in my coffee cup..

Are we still fishing??? HELL YEA!!!! Its Going OFF!!! EPIC tarpon bite reported here. EPIC permit conditions on the flats (be fast).. And.. can you say bonefish….

Can you Say KEY WEST? Oh yea.. The little island city with a drinking problem is capturing all the attention right now with stellar fishing activity and an amazing bite.

INSHORE is the game. with Tarpon permit and bonefish. The tarpon are not on the flats but in the channels eating live bait and going nuts.. A four hour trip today reaped my anglers 4 fish out of 5 hook ups. We also saw some nice permit on the flats, but tarpon was our focus. With 74 degree water temps and warmer in the rips the bones are also making an early spring debut with some 7 pounders caught out of Key West yesterday in the wind.

Water quality is good. clear enough for sight fishing if you are a fast cast. Have fun and get out there. I am guessing it will be like this right on through the end of the week .. Windy with some great fishing.

Call my office to book a day of fishing here in Key West. 305 292 7212. We handle fishing charters from Key Largo to Key West including Islamorada and Marathon.

See you out there.. LETS GO!!!
