May 2013 Florida Keys Fishing Report

Florida Keys Permit Fishing

The inshore guides here in the Florida Keys have been knee deep in tarpon as season kicks into full swing for May. Running doubles daily the guides have had tremendous success with Tarpon and Permit. As for the remainder of our week, looks like it’s going to be busy! Big group trips rolling in this fine week with conditions looking promising. The offshore fishing is showing us some love as well with shots at nicely sized Tuna, Mutton Snappers, and even sizable Mahi-Mahi. As summer approaches we can expect the Dolphin bite to steadily increase. As for May look forward to Grouper season opening and much more productivity on your local shipwrecks and coral heads.
