New Year Update

January 3rd 2015 Its been warm here in the Florida Keys.

Tarpon have been lurking around. Reports of some big fish coming in out of the Gulf Of Mexico into Key West harbor and the bridges such as Bahia Honda, channel five and Upper Matecumbe have been reported.

This time of the year fish low and slow with live bait in the channels. Seeing fish roll is not a priority. Most of the tarpon this time of the year will be hugging the bottom and eating opportunistically.

If you are looking for a January Tarpon. Understand it is not our “typical” tarpon season, however it could happen.
