January 12 2016 – What a close to 2015. We had tarpon all over the lower keys right up till the first of the year. As a veteran Key West Fishing guide I really hate to talk about tarpon fishing in November and December because its such a rare occurrence. Our anglers tend to get in a mind set that its a Thing.. Its not. That said.. many of our clients were jumping fish on Christmas day.

Now back to reality. Winter in the Keys has now set in. All be it, late.. Winter is here. Currently there are no opportunities for tarpon that I can see in the forecast period. Stay Tuned.. This could change if we get a warming trend.
