Key West Backcountry Fishing Report January 31

Bonefish Key West

Bonefish Fooled By MirroLure

Things are hopping here in Key West for fishing. lots of wind lately but we are still getting out to have a blast in the backcountry here at Dream Catcher Charters. In the shallows we have been able to put our clients on some mean blue fish, sharks, and big barracudas in addition to a mix of pompano, huge 25+ inch trout and kick but jack fishing

With the warmer weather this week we also managed a few nice sized bonefish on the flats with some stellar catches of winter time Key West permit. Winter is a great time to fish Key West as we have all the protection in the world from the elements with our  many islands of the Key West and Marquesas backcountry. Tarpon fishing this week seems to have sparked a bit before the cold front. Capt Kyle here at Dream Catcher Charters jumped a monster using a lady fish on the 26th of January. more in the Tarpon report..

Key West is definitely where it is at for winter fishing especially here at Dream Catcher Charters.
